The hamlet of Badachro
Badachro is a picturesque and peaceful,
sheltered haven for pleasure boats, and wildlife alike.
Badachro is a small, tranquil Highland hamlet, a former fishing port, now a very picturesque and peaceful, sheltered haven for pleasure boats. Only 10 minutes drive from Gairloch, but with a feel of remoteness and isolation.Located in one of the most beautiful areas of Wester Ross, it is a place that many visit and then return year after year. To view some beautiful local scenery, visit our gallery.
The traditional Badachro Inn is just across the bay, serving meals and the perfect location for watching boats and wildlife. Within easy reach are spectacular beaches at Redpoint, Opinan, Big Sand, Mellon Udrigle and Cove.
Excellent sea fishing from the rocky shoreline and from boat is found locally, as well as a 9 hole golf course, fantastic wildlife spotting opportunities, boat trips and a vast selection of walks for all abilities.
Wester Ross is fortunate to have a wealth of spectacular gardens, both public and private, that can be easily visited from your base in Badachro, including Inverewe and Attadale.
