Gairloch Golf Course
Many visitors to the cottages very much enjoy a visit to Gairloch golf 
course, described as 'possibly the best wee course in the Highlands'.
The links course is positioned among the dunes behind the beach in Gairloch. There is a large free car park, clubhouse serving snacks and coffee and walkway to the glorious beach, for those non-golfing members of your party.
It is a tricky course, but the views across the loch and over the Minch to Skye and the Western Isles make up for even the worst of rounds.
The course comprises nine holes, played from different tees on the 'backward' nine to make up the full 18 holes. The course is compact enough to allow an easy 36 holes per day throughout the summer with the added bonus of passing the clubhouse every 9 holes. Par for the full 18 holes is 62, with a total yardage of 4108 from the men's tees. Dress code is very relaxed and handicap certificates are not required.
Fees 2010
A round of 18 holes costs £16, and a full day ticket £20 per adult. For guests staying locally there is also a weekly, unlimited ticket priced at £60.00. For a spur of the moment game, there are sets of clubs for hire at £8 per day and trolleys are available at £3.
Additionally, if you are a regular visitor to Gairloch and live more than 80 miles from the course, Country Membership is available at £160. The membership year runs from 1st January till 31st December and those joining mid season are charged pro rata rates.
The Golf Club operates a tee booking system and tee times can be booked by phoning (01445) 712407, 
or by calling into the shop.The course can be busy during the summer months, the quietest times tend to be late afternoon, or early evening. Tuesday morning can be a particularly busy time as the club seniors have their weekly rounds.
The Clubhouse and shop
The Clubhouse overlooks the 9th / 18th green and serves tasty snacks and meals daily, throughout the season, and is worth a visit for lunch even if you aren't playing. The clubhouse also has male and female changing rooms and a toilet. The shop carries a small selection of accessories with plenty of tees, balls, spikes, gloves etc, along with a few items of golf clothing.
