Terms & Conditions of Booking

Bookings are subject to the following Terms & Conditions:

  • Guests are requested to arrive at Ceomara Highland Cottages anytime after 4pm on the first day of their stay and to vacate on the last day by 10.00am.
  • A deposit of 30% of the total fee is required at the time of booking. The final outstanding amount becoming due 6 weeks prior to the start date of the booking. Should the booking be made within 6 weeks of the start of the holiday, the total fee is payable immediately.
  • Electricity for spring/summer heating, lighting and cooking is included in the tariff, as is bed linen and tea towels (not including personal towels). A heating supplement applies during autumn/winter of £10, pro rata per week (for the exact dates this applies, refer to the tariff web page).
  • One small dog is permitted in cottage 2, with the prior consent of the owner at a charge of £20/week. Pets should not be allowed on the furniture, or be left unsupervised inside or outside the property at any time. The holiday maker is liable for any damage caused by his/her dog. Before departure, all traces of pet occupation should be removed from the cottage. The owner reserves the right to levy an additional charge for any extra cleaning required after the occupancy.
  • In the garden around the cottages, please ensure your dog is kept under very close control (preferably on a lead) especially when other holiday makers are also occupying cottage 1. Dogs should be exercised and toileted outside of the garden. Any accidents in the garden should be cleared up, poop bags are provided for this purpose.
  • The garden and picnic benches in-front of the cottages can be enjoyed by holiday makers. The owners (whose home is Ceomara adjacent to the cottages), request the rest of the garden remain for their private use.
  • At the end of your stay, the cottage should be left in the same clean and tidy condition in which it was found. Should extra cleaning be required as a result of your stay, a fee of £20 will be charged.
  • Please notify the owner promptly of any breakages or damage, so that these can be rectified for your stay and also for any future guests. It may be necessary to levy a charge in some cases.
  • Smoking is strictly not permitted in or directly outside the cottages. The owner reserves the right to levy a £50 fee should any evidence (what so ever) be found in the cottage, that the holiday maker may have smoked indoors during their stay.
  • The maximum number of guests using each cottage shall not exceed 4.
  • Ceomara Highland Cottages 1 and 2 do not accept children. Guests arriving with children of any age will not be allowed access to the accommodation and offered a cheque to refund the tariff paid, minus the non-refundable deposit.
  • Should the holiday maker need to cancel the booking for any reason, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellation charges are 40% of the balance if within 4 weeks of the start date of the holiday, 60% if within 3 weeks and 80% if within 2 weeks or less. If however, the period can be re-booked, a full refund may be possible, with the deduction of £20 to cover administration.
  • It is strongly recommended that you take out holiday insurance, to cover against all eventualities.
  • In the unlikely event that the property were to become unavailable the owners obligation and liability would be limited to refunding in full all monies paid by the holiday maker.
  • The owners shall not be under any liability to the holiday maker or third parties for any accident or loss or damage, however arising.
